I don't think St Anton is any harder than Zermatt and beginners are ok with it. My problem (twice) with St Anton is that they don't look after the pistes very well and the bus trip to Lech (20-30mins, easy) was a revelation, the pistes were like carpets. Just get a return fare bus which isn't too much as the free buses are something of a bun fight.

The ski area of St. Anton is called Ski Arlberg. Since 2016 it was enlarged and now it connects villages like St Anton, Lech, Zürs, Stuben, St. Christoph and Warth. There are 305km of slopes and 87 ski lifts. The facilities are equiped with the latest technologies with modern ski lifts (some with heated seats) and cable cars.
In St. Anton, a slightly more affordable alternative to Lech, renting a day ski pass still costs 61 euros, or around $67. You can imagine what a week's worth of skiing can do to your bank account.
